Will update in an hour.
Based on the album art I was expecting some dark type of d***gy soul music.
How sway
Perhaps it’s supposed to be taken in conjunction with the album’s afterlife theme, a suggestion that the character is reaching the end of the line and that Tesfaye – who has talked in interviews about wanting to “remove the Weeknd from the world” – intends to move on. If that’s true, Dawn FM is a fantastic way to bow out: 2020s pop music so brilliantly crafted that it causes you to realise how much other 2020s pop music is makeweight.
when did he say this
hmmmmmm. uhhhhh. i know there's been an interview or two where he talks about maybe using his government name for projects as he gets older but "The Weeknd" had become such a huge part of his career or something like that.
maybe they're referencing that? i'll try to think of the interview

I must have missed this
How are we feeling about a deluxe ? 'Cause the only thing bothering about the album is the last "track" damn Abel should've went 50/50 on it
It's not going to blind you
Bro i done it once and my eyes felt f***ed.. mighta been a placebo
MJ would be so f***ing proud of this album man.
Mfer would sue Abel, let’s not fool ourselves
This is a 7.5/10 for me, good album. I feel like after hours was much better because it was so diverse and every song was perfected like crazy, almost none of them left me desired for more. As a listener who hates all type of skits, i obliviously disliked the narration stuff even though i like Jim. Every angel is terrifying was the biggest tease ever and it ended with a 1.5 minute voice memo. Some songs towards the end felt a little empty for me tbh compared to AH. But i f*** with this too for the most part, but it feels like a bonus album for me.
