I always trust Abel and his process but let’s be honest features were not necessary on this album. They are not extremely bad or something but they don’t add anything. With features I mean the rapping ones of course.
My dad sent me a vid of him watching the amazon stream
That s*** almost made me cry ngl
He said “woowww this is amazing”
his boomer fan base has grown tremedously since AH
my uncle is a big fan all of a sudden and it totally caught me off guard
After Hours had a few things that annoyed me, I find this album to be a smoother listen
Yea. Really liked AH, but I still felt something was missing in certain parts
This album filled the voids that I thought AH had
My pops and the weeknd got off the wrong foot , he said he cusses too much (my dad a sailor mouth) but he grew into loving him
Im impressed he got the stream up, I didnt even give him the link or nothing
U never know bro it might click
Haha yeah my mom was a fairly easy sell but my dads only into 1980s and 90s euro music so like idk. I appreciate a lot of his musical taste when it comes to tears for fears, talking heads, etc. but I still think Abel has to bridge the gap for him to see the light
they are but there's a thing called evolution lmao. mfs want Weeknd to be the next AC/DC, remaking the same f***ing album over and over again
I think most of us are praising this album as well
About to start listening to this. What's the reception so far?
His best album
Y’all think we’re getting a 3 part series like Trilogy? After Life could be next
After Life honestly could go both ways. Dark as hell or A happy outlook on things.
After Hours is a easier more satisfying listen off rip but you gotta respect the ambition of Dawn...Abel went all the way in his vision here
About to start listening to this. What's the reception so far?
pretty mixed
