The Darkest AngelI don't get how people hate Trilogy. Here of all places is crazy to see. We all got different opinions I guess but those mixtapes were new and fresh so it was more impressive. The 80s sound is popular and good but nothing new we haven't heard

slyTendenciesThis is a good point but also you said he’s been “dabbing” in the 80s and yeah he was testing the waters at the beginning of that 5 year period and now he’s gone full into it. I remember him saying something about not having the ability or tools to make the music he’s making now back then and that’s why for me this full blown 80s thing is dope cause it shows how he’s grown and perfected his craft with it. I expect him to take another turn into something else on the next one
Yeah, I do agree that it's cool how much he's improved, when Out of Time hit it was a real 'student has become the master' moment, like oh wait, this isn't a tribute to great 80s pop music, this IS great 80s pop music
I'll be disappointed if his next album is more 80s stuff tbh, I feel like he's done all he can with the sound, people have said ITT but really getting into stranger synth stuff with OPN could be great

I will say my one wish for this project was that he fully committed to the MJ bag with more songs like Sacrifice & possibly left out some of the synthier stuff
