Gasoline, Take My Breathe, Sacrifice, Best Friends, Is There Someone Else? are the best tracks
I don’t like that every song sounds kind of the same: vibe, tone, instruments wise
Tbf OPN is on like every song but 3,it’s not very easy to have variation when that’s the case but they did well in spite of that imo cause it’s cohesive and transitions well
banger as well
but the hook and some of the lyrics ruin it for me
Just don't break my heart
Don't let me down, please
Don't you break my heart
I don't know if I can take it anymoreTake it anymore, take it anymore
I can't take another heartbreak or I'll end it all
And the girl I used to love
We broke up in the club
mad corny
lyrics i would expect from kiss land, not at this point where hes capable of way more compelling lyrics lol
I get what you mean, I'm definitely a Trilogy fan, I like this new album but he's been dabbling in 80s stuff for over 5 years now, it's not particularly new for him anymore, and it's a sound that's been done a lot for over a decade
When Bowie did Krautrock, Krautrock was actually new and it was cool to bring it to the masses, here Abel's bringing more 80s-influenced synthpop to an audience who is familiar with it from other artists as well as his previous work
Either way the album's good and has some of his best pop material, the outro's beautiful
fair enough
I love Gunna but I’m hesitant to listen to DS4Ever now because I’m scared it might underwhelm me after hearing this masterpiece
I’m boycotting him after finding out he’s holding hands with my beloved, you should do the same.
wait tyler didnt produce here we go again
thats straight up his sound
RIGHT LOL
this gonna end up his most acclaimed album outside of HoB 100% and I'm not convinced hob is safe
Sorry but this will not be better acclaimed than HOB, maybe in the coming months but that’s just recency bias.
people say "every song sounds the same" on every single cohesive album
like no s*** its an album and you've heard every song a total of 1 time each ofc you're gonna think it sounds the same
This is honestly is most polarizing release since Kissland
Not really seeing much hate
