what i mean is that the audience has expectations on artists. when an artist changes up their style, a majority of the audience will not fw it because they relate too much to their old material. i cant imagine being a David Bowie fan back in the day. mf went from glam rock to KRAUTROCK in a span of 3-4 years lmao im sure he alienated a lot of fans

this is just straight up better music to me than After Hours. I can appreciate that at its very core
