i just would really love something closer to traditional r&b from him, just to see what he'd do. i didn't even like trilogy so i wouldn't want it to sound like that either... a more r&b sound would be so different for him

I recently made a thread talking about he needed to fully explore his 80s early 90s roots

He’s always name checked bands like the smiths, cocteau twins and so on and while so far these tracks are more new order/depeche mode im sure we’ll get the full experimental palette
