I thought Blade for the initial club scene. Tenet for the mask. The black slime could either be a venom reference or even a Matrix 'rebirth' reference but that concept wasn't really finished in this part of the storyline.

Excluding the 3rd movie the Blade series was so dope. Way before all that Avengers bs everybody so crazy about. They dont make movies like Blade no more man.

Blinding Lights debuted at 11, for the record. I don't think this song, though I love it, will catch on with the masses like that, BL has more of an arc to a crescendo type of thing to it

This has song of the summer written all over it if this came out springtime. Weeknd hasn’t pushed this much since it came out, very different rollout in comparison to BL.

I don’t think TMB will have the legs like BL, but it will rise faster. I think most people forget BL got pushed back from blowing up because of Mariah and that Christmas song.
