Idk why I tortured myself by watching the spinoffs but they’re horrible if you were wondering. The Rick and Michonne one had a good start but also ended disappointingly. Daryl Dixon’s first season was decent but then it’s completely wiped away in season 2. It’s just a big waste of time. They need to end this franchise tbh

God, I hate Season 2 of the Daryl show so much. Season 1 was my favorite TWD content since FTWD Season 3. S*** was such a vibe, it legitimately had me excited. It felt FRESH. The French setting did so much to breathe new life into this series and moving away from the same old cast did wonders too. Daryl got actual character development instead of grunting and moping around. It reminded me of why he was my (and everyone else's) favorite in the old seasons of TWD.

So of course they did their absolute best to eliminate every single thing (and I mean that literally) that made the first season good and bring us back to the tired garbage annoying f***ing dynamic Daryl/Carol. TWD really has a way of taking something cool and running it to the damn ground beyond the point of parody - it's just ass. I somehow was able to keep up with the series until then but DD Season 2 was my breaking point. I was watching it with my dad and then exclaimed at the end I was done with this garbage franchise for real. They always promise so much just to underdeliver to astounding degrees.

It's a shame because nothing else hits like TWD quite. People can trash on it for this or that reason but man do I love the character-driven vibes of the show at its best. Just mfs hanging around in the apocalypse, surviving and trying to be better people in an unforgiving world. Season 4 might be the one I'm most nostalgic about since it was the crew literally just walking around to nowhere. Peak. Plot is an overrated storytelling device anyways.

Don't bother. It's the same tired dynamic between Maggie and Negan where she's trying to kill him mixed in with some weird sexual tension scenes. S*** is so trash

Dude even when the show was announced I thought it was dumb. I love Negan but outside of him being a lone wolf at the end of it all I don’t see the point of him paying for his sins for multiple seasons

Like either kill him or let him go and I’d be so turned off if they do pursue a romance between the two

It was literally the dumbest show to make a spin-off about. Their character arcs wrapped up very nicely just for them to completely reset all that lmao. Classic TWD. Same s*** as Daryl learning that he has to stop being such a loner and Carol showing us that she needs to stop being so savage.

This reminds me - in Daryl S2 they literally reset her character and make her whole journey through that season about her coping with her daughter's loss. WE WENT ALL THE WAY BACK TO SEASON 3/4, ffs.I'm not saying she can't grieve still but acting like she didn't go through this way way before and shape herself because of that experience is ridiculous.

Tbh, being killed off in the Walking Dead might be the best fate for any character. You either die a likable character or live long enough to get a s***ty spin-off rehashing the same old storylines over and over again. It's a special kind of hell.

F*** Gimple for killing off Carl still, that s\*\*\* was f\*\*\*ed up on so many levels including the real world. Riggs bought a crib just so he could be closer to sets, then he gets fired. Typical young adult experience I guess.
