Another classic season I see
season 1 was big mid except the bank robbery episode. this good?
I need to know this as well
You can tell the budget increased
Give my guy a movie next
season 1 was big mid except the bank robbery episode. this good?
its okay, not missing out on anything
I’m over big budget shiny looking social commentary where didactic messaging is put before telling a story that seduces and enchants you, it's putting the cart before the horse
In true stories the themes of social and political injustice reveal themselves naturally but it feels like a lot of young directors and writers are racing to show you how virtuous they are through basic parables
The information and insight can be helpful and informative, but when the messaging becomes the whole purpose of the show it feels hamfisted and obvious instead of compelling me emotionally which is what I want out of art (not political messaging...)
I feel the same way about other shows and movies like Carol and the End of the World, Everything Everywhere All At Once, Sorry To Bother You, there’s a valuable message there, but as art it falls short of resonating with me emotionally when it's first intention is to be a thesis
Not for me
Mid?
Im 5 eps in. Not mid but also not as good as S1 imo, but also not really trying to be
Vince's mother's character really held the season together for me.
She’s a certified menace
It might've went over my head. It had some moments tho.
I honestly don't know what this season was trying to say, if anything. Had no idea what was happening to Vince in the finale, show just felt random af
