As for MOTM3. im trying to rate it and rank it man. everything seems like an overreaction lol

I will say this... i have not revisited the other
MOTMs since. its been strictly this one and i usually dont skip or shuffle.

i wasn't too hot on zays first single but this new one is the zay we used to know and love I'd say.
but yea i totally get your sentiment with not listening to singles, also cause tde artists singles are kinda known for making more sense in the context of a full album.
so thats why i think that first single he dropped will grow on me...

as far as MOTM III ranking I'd say i def have it over PP&DS.
I think the trilogy really stands as his top 3 for me
followed by SF and the rest is always changing year to year.

MOTM3 really does feel like a MOTM album with trap elements + autotune infused into the classic sound.

People will probably not like this take but it's what man on the moon 3 should be for this era of music. It's an album that old and new fans can vibe to. Has a bit of everything. I'm glad he didn't try to make another motm1 or 2. They're all distinctively different from each other and that's what makes CuDi great as an artist. No album sounds the same

I think it'll be appreciated later on down the line. Remember the first 2 were not beloved when they first came out either.

I agree, CuDi's usually ahead of his time with a lot of s***. I think MOTM3 has some of CuDi's best work. I haven't been on KTT since release so idk what the consensus is but I still f*** with it a lot and think it fits well in the trilogy

yeah i think the trilogy stands at the top. AKNC and KSG are prolly 4 and 5 for me, but it changes sometimes. Sometimes indicud is in there. Passion is really a hell of a record too.

i dont think its outlandish to say, the larger cudi's discopgraphy grows, the more impressive it is

picks up from track 10. first half is really forgettable and generic

and i didn't really f*** with the features. would have liked andre 3k, jaden, travis and artists who mesh well with cudi rather than pop smoke, trippie etc

overall i don't think this is a top 3 cudi album and pp&ds was the true motm3 that fits the trilogy

always have a soft spot for WZRD
i don't rate AKNC that high as a whole tho
and if he never dropped a MOTM III, SF would've been the inoffical one for me anyways

just crazy to think that he really pulled off a trilogy

for me solo dolo 3 is where the whole album changes and really hits its stride

tequila shots and another day are still some of my favs tho, but from solo dolo 3 on they're all 10/10

4 da kids would fit perfectly on MOTM
