    underachiever

yeah that’s my favourite of his probably

but from the other albums he always has like 5 really great songs on there and the rest is usually filler or average

i’d be so glad if he took some time and put out a conscious album with like 16 songs

fr he kills it when he wants to but he probably thinks that's not what his fans want

    i had my doubts but now it's clear 2 >>>>> 1

all nostalgia aside, 3 might be as good as 1, even though 1 has S2ML

What is the mood for this one would u say? And the other 2

uh, in relation to my own experiences with them

motm: reminds me of discovering something new. that fresh feeling and showcasing emotions in songs that not many other artists did at the time. so i always feel young when listening to it.

motm2: i remember first listen it was different from 1 but i really liked it. but it had that darker tone. that like “now that you got to know a little bit about me, my flaws will be on display” type of thing. and it was also an album i went back to frequently during my “darker days” for lack of a better phrase. (this is my top 2 fav cudi albums)

motm3: just released but it feels like a triumph album. that return to the world. 2020 as a whole has been life altering for everyone globally. so to hear cudi so effortless at times on this album and having those small quintessential cudi moment sprinkled throughout while also bringing in new things he’s learned along the way gives off a “WE F***ING MADE IT” mood
