My Cam jersey came today
I really feel for the guy man
I do too, I've always rooted for cam during his days in charlotte. I was really excited and confused how he kinda just fell in our laps, but damn man this season is devastating.

Its sad because a lot of these games have been extremely close with turnovers being the deciding factor. I love what he brings to our offense but he just cant seem to take care of the ball lately
Obviously Iām 100% for trading guys for draft picks rn.
That being said, unfortunately this may not be the year where that works out. All the nfl reporters have been saying since the start of the season that teams are super cautious with making trades right now because of COVID and the cap uncertainty.
Sadly, I donāt see it as likely tbh.
Tbh some additions to the D-line and some additional WR help is really out biggest weak spots
Just get ready for next season for the fans and hopefully we can use that large cap space and picks well
idk if gilmore will be moved given the Covid rules and given that he was out with a knee injury today. we'll see.

I agree. I have no idea why Winovich isnāt playing. Heās one of our only decent pass rushers. If itās because Bill thought he wasnāt effective against the run, well, I think todayās game proved they arenāt much better without him.
interesting that bill was talking about depth as the major reason for the poor play. I think fans underestimate this - and in football unlike basically any other sport, the patriots have been winning through depth, not necessarily names.
with speculation that Jimmy G will be out from the Niners this offseason, and further speculation of whether the Patriots will try to sign him.... it is just further reinforcement that we traded the right guy.
I said it at the time.... Jimmy G is good but given that he got hurt in his 1st (or 2nd) start with us (I forget), how did we know he isn't injury prone? he has not been durable, missing significant time in 2 of his 3 full seasons in SF.

We need to bring him back. He can run this offense. From what Iāve heard, Bill never really thought Jimmy was better than Brady in 2016 & 2017, but he thought Jimmy would be eventually as Tom is aging. Donāt get me wrong, Tom is the MVP in my opinion, but he will play a few more years in Tampa. Jimmy is our best option. Cam isnāt the answer.

I'm interested in Jimmy G if he's available, for sure. a lot of things need to happen between then and now. and I'm not opposed to re-signing Cam either, because I think he would be running this offense well if we gave him like any pass catching weapons and an actual downfield passing game. Cam has handled himself very well this year as a leader so despite a couple really bad games after his stint on covid, I'm not showing him the door automatically. he's not the long term answer but could be an answer for 2021.
but yea, definitely interested in Jimmy if we can bring him back. we'll see. my point was more just that jimmy may only last 3 seasons in SF, so the pundits who thought we should have traded brady to keep him were wrong.
Doesnāt matter who our QB is, I can guarantee you one thingā they will fail hard if they have the same offensive weapons that Tom and Cam have had here the last 2 seasons. Itās ridiculous.

Itās definitely not a sure fire option, but I think if the possibility is there a Jimmy and New England reunion would be the best case scenario. I think the Patriots will end up winning enough games (6-7, maybe even 8) to knock them out of a high draft pick. Outside of Lawrence and Fields, is there really a stand out guy? Of course, Iām not a scout so I canāt be certain. I just think Jimmy would be the best option in 2021 if available.
Cam has been a good verbal leader. Heās matured a lot from his Carolina days. But I really worry about his mechanics. Heās still our biggest weapon at quarterback, but I just canāt figure out why he looks so bad when he throws. I donāt know if heās always played like that. Having said all of that, I agree. Trading Jimmy was probably the better option. Had we traded Tom we probably would have given up a Super Bowl. Itās a miracle Tom won 12 games with more or less the same team last year.

I just donāt think the skill players are the entire issue this year. Theyāre definitely part of it, but sometimes Cam looks really uncomfortable passing. Byrd has been open ā a lot. Edelman has been open on several plays prior to his surgery. Cam just isnāt reading the field well. It speaks to Bradyās talent, truly, on a phenomenal level.

I mean, Tom had as much talent with him last season though and the offense was still anemic.
