If we can get another quality WR. And maybe strengthen our o-line in the draft. The next 2-4 years are bright. Might not be able to outlast the bills this year but the future is close.

The fact that Drake is breaking records and his overall performance is as good as it is this season with an average group of skill players, O Line, and running backs is actually insane. Sometimes one or more of those groups is actually below average too.

We could legit be the #1 seed in the whole AFC if things go our way over the next 2 weeks

That being said, this does kind of have the feel of 2021 when we went on a run with Mac, but it was against a lot of bad teams, and then we came back down to Earth in December lol

this does not have this feel at all, when we fell behind in a game then, we knew we couldn't win putting everything on mac's shoulders. we don't have the same limitations now.

the 2021 team needed to get out to a lead, run the ball, effectively play action, etc. mcdaniels protected mac. drake is capable of completely taking over a game. we're winning with no run game whatsoever (which has gotta improve)

I just think it’s a lot to put on Mayes shoulders.

Our pass defense has huge holes and is completely reliant on Gonzales and our linebackers lack athleticism.

On offense, our O Line lacks experience and talent and Mayes mobility has been keeping them from getting exposed. Not to mention we’ve been extremely lucky that they’ve stayed healthy, because there’s a massive drop off in depth there other than Ben Brown inside.

Obviously Drake is completely better in every way than Mac was, so that’s a huge bonus. But even Brady had seasons that were tough when the talent around him wasn’t good. I don’t necessarily think it’s bad, it’s probably “average”. But the depth across the board is a huge concern because we’ve drafted so poorly over the years.

I agree on the depth but I don't agree on the o-line at all, they've been very good this year especially in pass protection. either way I still don't think this feels like 2021. 2021 you knew we were gonna lose going up against the top teams. this year I feel we can beat anybody. praying we can add to the roster at the trade deadline.

Idk if you go back and watch the tape from Sunday I think you’ll see that the pocket was collapsing pretty quickly on a lot of plays, but Drake was just masterful at moving around to avoid the rush

The o line has also been the main reason our run game has been bad because they’ve been creating no holes

I will say tho that the thing about this year is that there are really no elite teams, so that gives us a fighting chance every week if our coaches can scheme up stuff
