Don’t like it that I’m right here, but I’m right. This defense has been a pretender the last month. They’re average, and got exposed tonight by an average offense. Imagine what an elite offense will do against us (like the Bills next week if Josh Allen is healthy).

On an optimistic “I was right” note though, Mac proved tonight why he is a much better prospect still than Bailey Zappe ever will be. Just need to get him a better OC and O Line.

Mac played very well last night. That said, I think he still has some lingering issues with feeling pressure before it arrives and the speed of his release. But it was very apparent last night that Mac has arm talent that Zappe doesn't. I still don't think Mac will end up being anything other than Chad Pennington 2.0. One good game doesn't make me forget how bad he was during the last six weeks of 2021 and how bad he's been for 10 games this season.

I was eating dinner during the Henry catch, so I didn’t see it live, but looking at it now I have a very hard time seeing how they overturned the call on the field of TD.

Not that we would’ve won anyway, but should’ve remained a TD imo.

Best case, we lose out and get decent draft picks. This still doesn’t fix the fact that we have a horrible OC, and we may be in mediocre QB hell.

I'm hoping a new OC and all the cap we have this offseason will make us good next year... but wouldn't be surprised if we continue to be a .500 team

Yeah idk. We just need SO much. Our O Line needs to just be revamped, our WR group needs to be revamped, our TE group is getting paid way too much in contrast to how well they play, our LB group needs to be revamped. And of course there’s the question of if Mac is even a legit NFL starting QB.

And then finding a good OC (would Bill OBrien come back? Will Sean Payton and Tom go to the Raiders and lead to Josh coming back? If neither of those things happen hard to see an obvious solution at OC magically appearing given how Bill fills coordinator positions).

Hard to imagine all of these questions getting answered in one single season.
