They really turned Harley Quinn into a Deadshot/John Wick hybrid
BOP
David Dastmalchian is the worst actor alive in my opinion. Takes me out of the movie every time i see him
Ostrander source material + GOTG shtick & self awareness = fun pulpy time. Gunn uses the "doomed squad of f***-ups on a mission" foundation that has been aggrandized by some of cinema's greatest hits and fills it in with his brand of filmmaking.
Enjoyed the pivot of the old cast and the energy brought by the new cast (Daniela Melchior got me booking flights to Portugal
).
Runtime wasn't an issue, most films of this kind of genre (Kelly's Heroes, The Dirty Dozen, every modern comic book movie) run just as long if not longer.
Digging DC bringing that "comic book" form of movement, connectiveness and spontaneity to the screen. If you wanted the OG comic books brought to the screen this is for you. If you wanted Suicide Squad (2016) to have guts and buckets of blood then this is for you. :

Haven’t watched the first suicide squad in a while and I honestly don’t remember much from it aside from the general plot of the movie. Does that matter going into this one?

Not really, Gunn makes sure you have everything you need to know at the start but watching the 1st one enhances a few aspects of this movie

Might watch them back to back then. I tuned out while watching the first one around the first time it came out.
Easily my favorite character
So charismatic and likeable
knew she was gonna kill it just from seeing her in the initial photos for the movie
Watching this in 4K HDR tomorrow night probably
this was great
nothing didn't make sense tho right?
