The stock market has been on its way out for years now. It's the reason apps like Robinhood now exist and why they allow fractional shares. The actual wealthy and elite have realized that it's no longer as lucrative as it once was, and all the new retail investors from aforementioned platforms have made the market way more volatile

On top of all that, Trump hinted to us a while ago (around the time he started railing against WHO) that he wants to withdraw us from the WTO. Nobody I've asked seems to understand the implications of this, but it's on its way. Either Trump remains in office and does it on his terms, or the WTO kicks us out anyway due to market manipulation (which is the more likely scenario being rumored)

Obviously you should take all this with a grain of salt because I'm not going around looking for links to back up what amounts to mere conjecture anyway. But if and when all this does get revealed, please remember me :)
