tony was always letting his stupid ego force him into stupid decisions, but i think he knew killing bobby would have been idiotic. he knew paulie was useless in a war and bobby was the only one left who would actually fight for him.
Paulie useless in a war? Marone!
What paulie did was worse than what Bobby did. Paulie betrayed the family by talking to Johnny. It was some espionage s*** that could have started a war and taken down the entire soprano crime family. Paulie really was planning on changing sides before he realized Johnny didn’t give a s*** about him.
Bobby fighting Tony because Tony continued to insult his wife was bad since you can’t hit the boss but it wasn’t a betrayal.

Good point, Paulie playing both sides is relevant since at that point Tony was heading towards war with phil
I'm honestly shocked Tony didn't have Bobby killed immediately after somehow losing a fight to him in front of his wife and sister leaving him feeling like a b****. Didn't even make him swear not to tell anyone. And yet he was ready to kill Paulie over telling Johnny sack Ralphie joke
He didn't have to kill Bobby simply because he had something on him: Bobby hadn't caught his first body ever. Tony assigned him that job out of spite.

Cosign, only reason Paulie didn't switch was because Carmine Sr didn't even know who he was
Watching an episode then listening to the podcast the following day at work is a great combo

Part of me thinks Paulies the one who had Tony wacked
Dude loved Tony but wasn't loyal and was buddy buddy with fellow anti Tony dude Vito. They both looked mad pissed when Tony woke up out of his coma. Not to mention Tony almost killing Paulie on the boat but not doing it is the classic "look what happens when you spare somebody" trope, and there were subtle hints throughout like Tony burning the painting, Paulie saying "you never come around no more" in that same scene, the scowl he had after the convo with Tony in the last episode ect

You might be onto something
But I can't help but think, and then what? Paulie never struck me as somebody that thinks that far ahead/gameplan type guy, even as he played both sides with Johnny Sack.
just started watching this
why's his mom such a b****?
Just you wait till the last episode of season 1

If Silvio wasn't in a coma I'd have suspected him doing it in a "Tony's been way outta control with all these wars he escalated, gotta do it for the good of the family" type thing

Meadow was going through her unbearable angsty teenager phase, she gets way better. It's that little b**** AJ I can't stand, no one needed a brutal beat down more than that pathetic little spoonfed f***tard lol
Not sure if considered spoilers of Many Saints of Newark but peep at ur own risk:
Michael Imperioli confirms Many Saints time jumps to 1973
On the most recent Talking Sopranos, Michael Imperioli said he has already seen the movie and mentioned a few interesting things about the movie:
It starts in 1967 but time jumps to 1973...which should alleviate concerns about the whole timeline not making sense.
He said the movie is not an "episode" of the Sopranos, but stands on its own.
He said Alessandro Nivola's performance as D\*\*\*ie is Oscar worthy.
They plan to have some of the cast on the podcast.

Meadow is just as bad. Ends up a mob lawyer who rationalizes every crime her people do
