Not really, a ton of artists do features nowadays. I’ve never really understand why features count towards an artist’s #1s on the Hot 100 either, it’s not their song

features can literally be on the song longer than the main artist. its just showing who label paid for the promo essentially

That’s very rarely the case, most features are either doing a hook or a quick verse
And yes I don’t really think Cole’s should count for him because he wouldn’t have that #1 if it wasn’t a Drake lead song

I mean a lot of Drake and Future features for example they send the artist and a hook and a verse and the artist just adds a verse.
Then theres producer albums like DJ khaled where everyone is listed as a feature.
Theres also songs with no hook a feature does the hook and the lead artist and the other features have anequal length verse.
Just seems like semantics to not count features.

BRAVE*Give their features attention sure give them revenue that goes without saying, but counting them in these type of lists to highlight how impressive lead artists are, it’s fair to distinguish between artists who are damn near #1 without counting endless feature appearances and artists who are only #1 if you count them

but why isn't this argument used against Taylor just spamming Spotify with songs? she has damn 526 songs on Spotify lol. I've only ever seen this song # argument used against Drake/a handful of other artists, never Taylor.
Does it not diminish her total streams? She very almost has more songs on Spotify (526) than the 2nd/3rd highest streamed artists combined lol. 353 + 198 (551)

Bad Bunny’s music is twice as popular in the real world. But there’s gonna be a U.S. advantage that needs to be overcome somehow and Taylor again has that in a way that will be reflected in lead streams and sales
