I disagree this album has been the the most noise he has had in his entire career
Every mainstream artist has botted streams he wasnt gonna be different
Most noise is media reporting the number, not people hyping up the individual songs or the artistry. Very different type of noice from Cole imo

I seen people people hype up multiple individual songs here wym
I think u are just out of the loop tbh

E85 and Body
Even with numerous huge singles last year, a #1 lead single for the album, he’s still projected to do only 90K in streaming units first week
He’s never been a big first week guy but I was definitely expecting at least the same as 24K Magic which did 231K
the beef really got people with lifelong ptsd
s*** gonna be a case study
One fan base can’t fathom that one of the biggest Hip Hop artists of all time released a hit album post stomping on their crush.

In hindsight, yeah, but 24K Magic didn’t have the biggest first week ever.
The only single that dropped before that album was the title track, which peaked at #4. I Just Might went #1 and has been hovering in the Top 5 since it dropped

The Romantic won't have a That's What I Like or Finesse.
The Romantic won't have a That's What I Like or Finesse.
I never said it would, I’m just talking about the first week performances of both albums
That’s What I Like and Finesse didn’t become hits until months after 24K Magic released.
That’s What I Like debuted at #79 on the Hot 100 and didn’t reach the Top 10 until February 2017.
Finesse didn’t chart at all on the Hot 100 until the remix released in January 2018.
That’s why I’m saying at the time of both albums’ releases there seemed to be a similar level of interest, you can argue The Romantic had more, which is why I’m surprised it’s ending up doing less first week
