    Great pick

    I want her everywhere
And if she's beside me, I know I need never care
But to love her is to need her everywhere
Knowing that love is to share
Each one believing that love never dies
Watching her eyes and hoping I'm always there

Beatles because they were the first music superstars and created the expectation that the more successful you were, the experimental you became which informed how viewed Hall of Fame artists onwards

Plus Sgt Pepper inspired Their Satanic Majesties Request

That's a great point. The Beatles did kind of coin that artistic trajectory that has basically become the cornerstone for the way artists handle their careers. Sgt Peppers to 808s and Heartbreaks.

lol this album was so fire

Never listened to Sgt pepper or abbey road?

I’ve heard songs during my heavy tripping days, but could never get into it even with the all the beautiful d****. it all felt very “you had to be there” versus other artists

  • Beatles and it’s not close

i really like the instrumentation @op
i like the muddiness of the mix, all of this does sound pretty nostalgic to me. i definitely already knew Gimme Shelter, Let It Bleed, and You Can't Always Get What You Want. i really like when it gets blues-ey. some of it is a tiny bit too ragtime for me with the keys. my favorite are Monkey Man and Live With Me. they really remind me of one of my favorite bands from Texas called Spoon, i'm sure now the Stone must have been a huge influence on them

The one thing about The Beatles is they could never get sexy like The Stones could. It's kind of like how people say Kendrick's music makes b****es panties dry up. Beatles can't make music for the ladies like the Stones could

I've just seen a face could solve global water shortages

don't even get me started on paul's vocals in oh darling, wap wap wap wap

    Beatles and it ain’t close

Closer than you think. Respect prime Stones

  • sace 👍

The Rolling Stones for me. Mick was cool in Performance (1970) even though

i got to see them live twice, i was really starstruck. Gimme Fiction is awesome. my favorite is Transference. feel like it's such a weird and underappreciated album

Paul wrote some of the sweetest love songs in eternity but I can't remember a time he's ever been "raunchy"

100% agreed with you on that front brother, honestly their more ragtime type cuts are my least favorite of their styles. I think we have similar taste because I too enjoy the most when they get their blues-ey sound on as well. Dang I take pride in kinda being at least in the know but I've never heard of them, I'm gonna check them out later tonight post your favorite song!

they have a lot of different eras and sounds, so this isn't super representative of most of their music but this is prob my favorite of their's
