i keep trying with this album but idk it's not hitting like it does for everyone else

i did like it a bit better this listen than some other times. there are a few songs i can really recognize as great songs. specifically climbing up the walls, that s*** was different and a nice change of pace in the album

but some of this s*** is really just a drag lmao "slooowww dooownnn" i be bored man

i think they really found their swag on kid a and then achieved greatness

give it time, it can take a bit for it to click, but the layers and sounds in ok comp are fantastic

the whole cold and dystopian vibe they push through stands out in the sound, recorded in cathedrals with vast reverb

its just an epic album that sounds like a film through the ears

Am I weird if I think of Ok Computer as more of a warm sound lol? I never understand what Thom says without reading it so maybe that’s part of it. To me it reminds me of a Beatles album and not dystopian at all but I know some of that comes out in the lyrics

I can link every one of them if you want me to, but Ed has said repeatedly that the band hasn't met up or written any new music, Phil said something is coming but it isn't "new music," Thom said that he wasn't working on Radiohead stuff next, Jonny said they were holding off and not doing anything yet because he's doing 2 movie scores.

Yeah, I don't think it's a new album, but hopefully we'll get a Kid A/Amnesiac reissue with a ton of unreleased music.
