I agree with all of this but you have to keep in mind a lot of the people currently protesting are kids, and theyre doing a lot more than most adults

There's too much infighting in every group. That's a big part of the problem IMO. Everybody thinks they know best and will tear down anyone who attempts to lead. The age of information has turned most into ego driven prideful maniacs who constantly try and out intellectualize/debate each other instead of keeping the common goal of community and progress in mind.

But desperation is the best motivator, and I think once the Internet + power go out completely more people would ultimately come together than we think.

The biggest exposition in this is that people only see it as a France issue, when there are protests going on Albania and Italy for example due to the rising cost of living and chokehold on shipping lanes by Ansarullah and Iran (To be fair this could be just due to posting on an old thread about French hard on for petty riots). But clearly something more is going on here regardless whatever the short term results are of these.
