Its been updated. Was a mistranslation

@wes I folded and bought The Hundred Line after playing the demo
Game's gas
Got my third ending a couple days ago.
After being like 50 hours in, I do wish there was less of a focus on the actual gameplay (mainly the social aspect) since it's all pretty shallow and kinda messes with the pacing on the few routes I have played; everything else is really good though.
Game is genuinely funny as f*** too
Also, saw you put some time into Clair Obscur. Thoughts?

It’s funny you mentioned that because whilst I was playing the demo I was actually thinking how the social aspect of it seems pretty shallow and how annoying it would be to repeat that for 100 days
I put Clair on pause right after you get Sciel and the mount so I didn’t even get that far in tbh.
I’m a bit mixed on the combat, the offensive options (Charge, stances etc) tied to the characters are really cool (best part of the combat imo) but the problem is that you never get to fully utilise them fully because everything just falls over (I’m playing on Expert). It feels pretty underwhelming to try and set up an enemy only for it to die before you can execute on the foundation you were laying.
I’m not sure what the point of dodging is yet? Sure, parrying has a tighter window but it lets you counterattack (which contributes to the first problem I mentioned since the counterattack damage is absurd) and gives you AP and having AP is very important, dodging just seems too unoptimal to ever be viable. In general, I think parrying/dodging undermines a lot of aspects in turn based combat, I seen the abilitty "Shell" or something and instantly thought of how pointless that is when the combat system itself doesn't want you to interact with those abilities
Im not that far enough to comment on the story yet but the premise is really interesting.
As for the characters, I’m not really attached to any of the characters, I feel like there should be a LOT more dialogue between them and even some of the conflicts like the one Gustave and Lune had in the beginning felt pretty shallow. Hopefully things pick up later
My biggest issue though is the environment and level design, I’m not a fan of the same colour palette plastered all over my screen for the entirety of the zone, the red forest area I just went through in particular was pretty dogshit to the point that Lune even commented on how the area was “confusing to navigate” lol. I’m usually against telling the devs to add any form of navigation clues to a game but in this case I don’t think the level design is good enough to warrant not having a mini-map.
EDIT: Having got further through the game it turns out it was in fact only that area that was pretty obnoxious to navigate through
With all that being said, I might not be that motivated to play it right now but I still think it’s pretty good (Like I think Metaphor is good), especially coming from a studio this small (If Square Enix made this game I would have a LOT more negative things to say about this though)
Also, every time I enter the camp I instantly play this track

Thinking about playing Last Defender Academy, Tales or Vesperia or Symphonia right now

!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iqizXvvWnmMAfter the first ending, I just tossed the game on safety mode and booted up Cheat Engine so I could just fly through it all
The SRPG gameplay is fine and all, but I'd rather not interact with it lol. It was a bit grating having to follow the same thing every day (wake up, go to cafeteria, spend free time doing pointless stuff, repeat), but the story and characters made up for it whenever it started to get really annoying.
As for Clair Obscur, I agree with all that. Granted, I am still super early on. I was planning on getting back to it, but ended up playing more Hundred Line

Symphonia
I‘m a very big Danganronpa fan and it looks & dialogue reads just like it
the soundtrack is waaay too danganronpa-y too
i've played the demo and that really put me off

Bro, I got chills it had you select "redo your hundred days". So f\*\*\*ing cool
Also, Eito under the bed was SO f\*\*\*ing funny. I'm cracking up just thinking about it. I knew he had to be hiding in the room, but did not expect him to be hiding under there like THAT.
Got any favorite characters so far? The Kurara and Gaku dynamic is too good

Funny enough, Kurara is actually my fav, she's hilarious
My top 3 would probably be Kurara, Darumi and Yugamu or Ima? Honestly not sure about the last 2 but Kurara is easily top 1
I'm pretty fond of Ima becaue for like the majority of the game I despised him and I was convinced that he was the killer and responsible for a lot of s\*\*\* but it turns out this nigga is just a huge d\*\*\*head
After finishing Expedition 33, I need something to scratch the itch. Should I buy Metaphor next? I'm downloading the demo rn

Metaphor is amazing
Metaphor is amazing
I didn't expect the demo to be so long, but I think I'm almost done with the prologue. I really like the setting and story, I'm certainly buying this once I get paid
Got contacted by the official Dragon Quest IG today. They want to feature my dragon quest fan artwork in a community show case!
I assume for DQ Day
Its up! :)

They really need to chill tf out with the amount of “Free time” in Hundred Line. Easily the worst thing about the game lmao

Have you gotten any additional endings yet? But yeah, big agree. Haven't played in a couple weeks now because I do not want to deal with the free time or the combat aspects (and Limbus has had me in a chokehold lmao). Love just about everything else, but it gets pretty tiring having to skip all that s*** over and over again.
Also man, that f***ing boss theme at the end of the "prologue" is the most insane thing I've heard in a game
