    This album is rap luxury.

    VOTE FOR KANYE

Anthony Fantano just skimmed through this album and didnt really listen to it. Very sad. I don't think he should review any rap albums anymore.

stop listening to album reviews with point system ratings in 2020.

To put in short my feelings on this piece of beautiful art:
This really is a sight to see, the only thing i can really pinpoint to compare it to is it being the musical equivalent to As I Was Moving Ahead Occasionally I Saw Brief Glimpses of Beauty or Tree Of Life in how it frames fragments of beautiful moments in the history of the author and relates it to the listener
Avant Garde in it's approach but universal in theme and feeling, so personal where it feels like Elec is just goofing around at certain points but feels like the real world and he's letting you into a montage of moments in history with Jay Z as a narrator like figure

I never really had any hype for jay elec, like I've legit never really cared about him and only went out of my way to listen to this out of boredom, so it's sad to see so many people get in their own way of enjoying it just because its not EXACTLY what they wanted. I get it, the wait was long and its not exactly what was promised but what you got is something unforgettable.

LOL you reaching with the Mekas + Malick comparisons haha but nice to see those anyway, and good to see this album get new folk excited for JElectricity 🙏🏻

I think ppl who are disappointed are mainly the ones who don't realize that this is not Act II, not the album he was holding back. That this is a new album to show he still got it.

It is spelled correctly. It’s pronounced shahada muqtoobeh in Arabic which means written testimony / written testament of faith

It'll be hard to top what Jay Elec dropped on APIDTA. That's some hard, emotional and beautiful words of poetry there.

Best verse on the album hands down.

After going on genius and reading the lyrics, I have a whole new appreciation for this album. Also Hov didn't out-perform Jay Elec like a lot of people said, if anything its the other way around, IMO.

    I give it 7/10
Pros-substance, layers, introspection, knowledge, great production.

Cons- no Just Blaze, too few tracks( wanted13-15 tracks), mixing inconsistent- great for headphones/ bad for car stereo.

I’m gonna play devils advocate on this one.

Do you think they’d do the same numbers with an album full of Hov features?

I can see it doing similar numbers, I mean hov's name is not even attached to the project the only way to know he's on the album is through social media

But one of the thing I was getting is that everyone was surprised hov was on every track so I'm assuming they thought hov was on like a song or two and i dont know many people to go listen to an unknown artist album from top to bottom just for a hov feat

I think the idea that this is a 10 year wait from artist jay was more publicity than hov
