the beat on shiny suit theory damn

I can see why some people was left a tad disappointed in terms of wanting more, but if you take out the 10 year wait and immaculate hype surrounding Jay E, then it’s easy to recognize this as a great album.

The direction Jay Electronica headed for, he completely reached in all levels.

Jay-Z’s contribution to this project was excellent and actually leaves you wondering if his performance on this is toe to toe with Jay E’s. He’s definitely sitting in the same table, in terms of what he brought to it.

It’s hard to pick a standout track here, because all of them standout to me for the exception of the intro obviously and maybe Fruits of the Spirit (although still a very good track).

After some good listens, I’m going to give this at least 9.5 or maybe a 10. I’m not a strict grader, however.

I really wanna hear the old tracklist. I'm REALLY curious if on that one he was still going back and forth with Kanye or if he was doing it with Jay. Kanye was featured on like half that tracklist.
