not sure why Jay’s vet status means anything?

there’s probably gonna be a pic of Jay and Mach or a Jay-z tidal playlist featuring Mach before the end of the year. he’s been cribbing flows in exchange for a look his whole career

This is amazing damn. I've always been intrigued by this guy but wasn't a hardcore fan. Always thought the wait was a little silly but this project is fire AF. Can't believe all the Hov featuro

Make sure to check out Act 1, The Announcement, Exhibit A, Annakins Prayer, and Prayer for Michael Vick if you already haven’t fam! He’s one of the best rappers alive

Jay Elec is a legit bad rapper. Dude sound like 2010 ludacris on this s***. No wonder hov is on every track

Yea the mixing all round can definitely be fixed up, Hov on the hook of Flux Capacitor is obviously much different (clearer + louder) from his and jay's verse like

Don't really the get the "album was hov feat jay" take

Jay rap on majority of the project, with hov on 9 tracks, and 2 were just choruses

Wish the production was handled more by The Alchemist & No ID, but this s*** lives up to the expectations for the most part.

Lately, I haven't been sleepin' well
I even hit the beach to soak my feet and skip some seashells
    Sleep well
The lump inside my throat sometimes just towers like the Eiffel
Sometimes I wonder do the trees get sad when they see leaves fell
    Sleep well
The last time that I kissed you, you felt cold but you looked peaceful

I read our message thread when I get low and need a refill
    Sleep well

never got chills like that from a verse ever

Also the production, themes, sampling, song structure etc are all things Jay elect has explored and touched on before. It’s a natural production of his sound and vision. People just revealing themselves to know the same like 3 songs everyone else knows and not the actual artistry jay is on. It’s definitely a Jay Electronica album and Hov is definitely a feature, he compliments Jay on the tracks but he doesn’t expand the songs in the way Jay Elect does. And hov isn’t on fruits of the spirt or intro.

They actually took the stats. It was 52 Electronica 46 jay z. That’s too much hate basically a collab.

Never expected this to drop so it's unfair for me to say I'm disappointed but the album feels kind of rushed or made in a short period of time (which I'm not a big fan of) but the lyricism is on point and I'm gonna listen to it more to fully develop a solid opinion on this.

Exactly everything about this album screams jay electronica, none of this really hov, like what hov album has hov saying inshallah and talking 5percenter lingo over this type of production

It's even less than that its 52 jay, 35 hov, and 13 sample, guest speakers

That being said A.P.I.D.T.A. is one of the most recent hip-hop songs that sound so damn somber, the emotion is palpable. Beautiful song & a standout track on the album.

Wonder if this is it for Jay or if he's gonna drop more s*** now that he got over the hump of releasing his debut

I actually showed my mom that song and asked her to listen to it and she said she cried. We bond over music rarely but it was amazing that it connected with her too.

Damn, that's real. I know that song is gonna touch a lot of ppl, the song connects to a different emotion that's normally associated w/ rap. kinda reminds me of This Can't be Life, which is one of my favorite songs period.
