Ngl I was expecting something a little more grandiose due to the amount of time he had to work on this but I’m satisfied with the outcome. This is exactly how I’d expect a Jay Elect album to sound

Was kinda surprised about some of the production choices too, specifically The Blinding and Ezekiels Wheel. They made those beats work better than I could’ve predicted

Can’t complain about an album with Jay Elect and Hov trading verses

its the mixing for me. i lowkey cant hear them. like the levels are jarring, but the beat itself? i like it

Great rhythms and percussion could've used more backing instruments like pianos on the upbeat or something or guitars to make it a 10/10 Rockafella beat

Y’all were worried bout Travis track and its not even the worst yall f***ing donkeys.

This just came out so I want to sit with this some more but after like 7 listens I can say it’s really good not great.
As of right now only two songs would replace any songs in my top 15 jay E track

Jay Electronica lyrically is the best I’m sorry. There is no other rapper that can do what he can with rhyming.

My issues with this is some of the mixing, the hook on Ezekiel, that big Sean track and Hovs verse on Never ending a story.

Also while most of the songs are good. He set such a high bar with better In Tune and exhibit c and I don’t know if he has one of those on this album.

I also had super sky uhh expectations so once those quell a bit it will probably grow on me more.

It's beautiful. It caught me off guard at first as well but I know eventually it'll just click and become a drifting thought. It's so dope man.. the little intricacies in the production is just nuts

Too much Hov for my liking. His verses was good but it was almost like he was forcing the Allah references lol. I just don’t like the pairings. Jay Elect is more poetic than street and Hov is more street than poetic. Doesn’t mesh well but still a. Great job.

I don’t hear this. I have m50xs, which i read have plain and equal levels compare to other headphones. I can hear the mixing issue on shiny suit theory obviously so idk, the rhythm is incredible to me
