Kendrick, Lupe, Kanye, Hov, Nas, etc all made a classic debut albums by themselves. No help from some giant entity rapping wise. I love jay Electronica but if this is as amazing as I expect it to be you are left wondering how much of it is credited to him. I am going to listen and probably love it but having a Hov is a crutch. Especially if Hov isn’t spectacular it leaves you wondering what if. Joe Budden said the same thing. It’s not a hot take
