again, this controversy mostly stems from these two boxers being disqualified from an IBA organised tournament last year. The IBA was dogged by claims of corruption for years and were removed from an organisational role for the Olympics eventually. The entire justification for those disqualifications has been at best extremely opaque. The IBA is also now Russian led and appears to have been aligned with Russian foreign and social policy over the last few years eg not allowing Ukrainian athletes to compete under their flag, allowing suspended Russian and Russian aligned athletes to compete and now this trans panic stuff. They are not a reputable organisation at all and I think ppl are ignoring that cos they otherwise support the trans panic stuff.

Maybe you shouldn't accept the first thing you see as fact, especially when it's being reported by an incredibly biased organization with a vested interest in stoking anti-trans panic and outrage
