For those who need peacock to legally stream the Olympics and don't wanna pay for it, there is no "official" free trial.
HOWEVER, instacart+ offers peacock as a perk, and instacart+ has a 2 week free trial (2 months if you use a master card).
So do the instacart free trial. Instantly cancel. And enjoy 2 weeks of peacock for free.
Other options for free peacock are if you're an xfinity customer they give it for free gigabit speeds, and I think Comcast gives it for free.
