2023 was the only World Series in the past 8 years to not have the Dodgers or Astros
Parity my a$$
There hasn't been a repeat champion in MLB since 2000 lmao
Astros and Dodgers have each been to 4 World Series in the past 8 years. I wouldn’t call that parity.

The NBA had 4 straight finals rematches and the Patriots won 6 super bowls.
Who gives a s***

And Astros gave us some fun stories in their ws losses and dodgers dynasty from starting earlier
Only teams that benefit from a salary cap are the poverty teams like Pittsburgh and Oakland who don't even care about spending and just want to make a profit
Wouldn't help them either since a floor would be implemented too

Lately the NBA has had parity though
7 different champions the last 7 years
All I’m saying is a salary cap or floor (preferably both) would help baseball a lot.
Force the cheap owners to spend and make it so the people who buy all the best players can’t do that. Every season would be way more enjoyable.

If 7 different NBA champions in 7 years is parity why is 24 different MLB champions in 24 years not parity

Huh? Where are you getting those numbers
Dodgers have won 2 of the last 8 and Astros have won 2 of the last 8
Meanwhile both have been in 4 each

If a team other than the defending champion wins it's a different champion

You know that’s not what I mean
Let’s say the Nuggets won twice but didn’t repeat, I would call that not having different champions either in that timespan

The NBA has historically been dominated by dynasties with a salary cap

The NBA was dominated by superstars
But the two superstars fell off and look what we have now

Yeah but they haven’t always won. Plus we got a couple asterisks in play

Unfortunately asterisks mean nothing if the league won't take the titles away. Many such asterisks in the MLB, NCAAF, and NCAABB but they never actually strip the title so it does nothing.
#FraudWatch @Brewers
Salary cap would be horrible for baseball lmao
for the mets*
