annoyed at the loss but this game was never going our way it felt like. especially after that bullshit triple play

and Nimmo costing us a run

Acuna 100% dives for that ball, I like Jeff but Mets def should go younger at that position.

And I mean I felt like Nimmo earned a good contract after 2022 and he was a bright side in ‘23 for a bleak type season overall but yeah with his injury history the years on that contract is a sus. Mets basically gave him the bag to help secure a core and the fact there weren’t any other valid options. But maybe if Stearns was the guy then, they work something else out.

nah yeah I think at the time it was signed it was valid but it just feels like he's just regressed from the end of last season till now. always rooting for him and hoping he turns it around but feel like he needs a couple rest days a week cause he doesn't seem all the way healthy

Basically guys like McNeil and Nimmo get some special treatment cause they've been around for a minute. Some real "dog days" kinda guys. I get they're fan favorites because they've been around for a minute, but it's definitely time to move on from them. We in a new era with young guys who are on an upward trajectory and capable of producing what they once did and potentially more.

They got enough juice left in the tank to be utility guys, but outside of that, let em chill in the dugout for the vibes and vet know-how.
