Yeah this is more on Stearns then it is Mendoza but they're not gonna fire Stearns in the middle of the season. Sometimes a move has to be done just for the sake of it so I think Mendoza is going to take the hit eventually
Mendoza should’ve gone this past offseason with the rest of his coaching staff.
If there were truly some clubhouse issues last season - that’s on the damn manager!

Matt Arnold was the brains behind stearns it seems
Everybody should have known about stearns after he traded Hader when the brewers were in first place and destroyed the morale of the team
sure their hitters could start hitting but missing Lindor for what's looking like two months isn’t going to help and their pitching will stay bad.
They made one move for the rotation and it was for a great pitcher that doesn’t go deep into games. And their replacement for the 2nd best closer in baseball is two Stankee rejects.
Whatever bounce back may occur after firing Mendoza won’t lead to anything material.
Mendoza gets fired simply because he's not doing a good job. Stearns is the one who really needs to get the boot asap.
But this is just the process of things. First the coach/manager goes, then the president gets canned towards the end of the season.

Agreed. They scapegoated the staff last year, brought in new guys except for Mendy and it's still the same underperformance and chemistry issues as before.

what was Matt Arnold doing at the time
They couldn't even bring back the one guy who was elite in his role in Antoan Richardson. Man turned Juan Soto into a 38 SB threat and you get outbid by the Braves?
a team firing their coach and immediately getting better is not uncommon
It's sorta happening with the Red Sox
what was Matt Arnold doing at the time
Not making that decision. The trade and everything after ended up working out for us but it also destroyed a season,

so the brains but not the brains

I think the story behind that was MLB has some regulations on benefits for coaches and the Mets weren’t able to work out the logistics for what he wanted. But yeah I wanted him back too, shoutout my niggas from the Bahamas

I feel like “better” is relative. Yeah a team could play better because it’s apart of the marathon of a baseball season. But making the playoffs at least isn’t that common

Idk how the Diaz negotiates went left. Niggas said he never spun back to let the Mets give a final offer but idk. Would’ve loved him up ASAP.. even tho it looks like a rough move considering he’s hurt but still. I believe the plan was really to have it set up like Weaver - Williams - Diaz

I’m imagining the fan reaction to Edwin’s injury after losing 12 in a row
Anyone buy The Show this year? Was thinking of buying it only for RTTS.
Haven’t played years honestly. I’ve been hearing this year is the worst yet for playing online tho

Yeah online always been way too iffy for me. Don't have that kind of reaction time, especially since I play on TV
