Will also throw in some Bolt Thrower. Always gets me hype
I used to have a shirt with the War Master cover on it. It was one of my favorites. My ex has it now.
The b**** doesn't even like the album.

Had an ex do the same thing to me, took a bunch of my shirts bc she thought they were cool.. she didn’t even like metal. Small price to pay for her to be gone

Once I read somebody on the internet saying that he actually told this to the bassist after a live show and the funniest thing is that he agreed lmfao

Judas Priest - Stained Class (heavy metal)
Iron Maiden - Powerslave (heavy metal)
Metallica - Ride the Lightning and Master of Puppets (thrash metal)
Megadeth - Rust in Peace (thrash metal)
Slayer - Reign in Blood (thrash metal)
Morbid Angel - Altars of Madness (death metal)
Darkthrone - A Blaze in the Northern Sky (black metal)
Sleep - Sleep's Holy Mountain (stoner +doom metal)
Acid Bath - When the Kite String Pops (sludge metal)
Type O Negative - Bloody Kisses (gothic metal)
Tool - Lateralus (progressive + alternative metal)
id start with Metallica since you already heard Sabbath, they are usually pretty accessible and those 2 albums are goat status
black metal and death metal might be harder to get into because of the intensity and vocal styles. Thrash metal is good way to get into the more "extreme" styles because its basically the bridge between regular metal and extreme.

i wouldnt say those Neurosis albums are good for newcomers
lot of patience required tbh and it took me a while to get into them
Anyone listen to King Gizzard in here?
yeah, that was one of the first albums i heard from them. its not one of my favorites anymore after I got more into them though. I hope they do more metal and metal-influenced stuff in the future, its always cool (and pretty rare) when non metal bands either become overtly metal or incorporate significant metal influence
that album sounds a lot like High on Fire
