what's a good but accessible album to start with

theres probably a lot of other people itt that are more knowledgeable than me but i always see paranoid by black sabbath as a good place to start

Yeah, that's a perfect starting place tbh. It's super accessible, easy to listen to and still one of the best metal albums of all time.
