Idk if it really counts fully but Candy - its inside you is definitely my favorite heavy/hardcore release this year thats not from nobodies, I liked the new show me the body too

Super dope heavy melodeath band from Japan, don't think I heard this album but Banquet in Darkness has riffs

Speaking of Opeth the opening riff sounds straight from Morbid Angel

ive finally been able to get more into them recently beyond just beyond a casual Blackwater Park enjoyer like ive been for years

those riff sections following those melancholy melodic sections and vice versa :datass: still got a lot of albums left to hear from them
