I feel like MCU hate or love just rides on what the vibe of the consensus is. I still see tv level cinematography, empty cgi backgrounds and sets etc. but this one isn’t afraid to be a movie?
Quantumania and Thor 4 did so much damage that people think we’re deep in a 5 year slump of bad MCU or something
WF, MOM and Shang Chi were all solid, competently crafted and fun and ‘movie-like’ whatever that even meansIt's nothing-speak. Saying a whole lotta nothing. This looks like a movie the same way that the other Marvel movies look like movies. Just in the teaser trailer alone you see most of the usual Marvel-isms we've come to know over the last 10+ years, both good and bad.
The only thing I can parse from what they mean is that it looks fun? Which isn't saying much because most of the Marvel movies look fun, even the s*** ones. You can't say that it's just a standalone adventure that doesn't require people to know anything from past Marvel shows/films cause...well if you haven't seen Captain Marvel or Ms. Marvel you aren't going to know who any of the three main characters are or how Nick Fury knows them.

They’re all just NPCs waiting to get onto the next theme park ride and they’re explicitly upset nobody has been validating the latest stretch of s***

I don't think they're trading bodies though it's moreso trading places. I feel the resolution to that issue gets solved immediately by just getting them and keeping them together.

definitely something that gets resolved in that way in the first act, then they start using the power when fighting the generic villain till the end when they somehow fix it completely or they live with it but have it in control
