I wonder how different the reception around the release would’ve been like if half the game hadn’t leaked. Still really wish i could’ve gone in completely blind, the first playthrough would’ve hit so much harder

Oh yeah I think my playthrough would have been better blind. I was dealing with so much in 2020 so there was no chance I would get comfort of blind playthrough. Even blind though there are just some issues I would have with it either way. I think it's a massive success though

It’s one of the best games I ever played

After it, I played MGSV with Ground Zeroes and I realized how much more freedom you get in your execution

Things like this change though there’s no THE BEST it’s just what you prefer

The old games are so stiff because they’re old, they cannot be the best because of technical reasons

And the only reason that is, it’s because gaming is a young medium

It exists pretty much as much as rap does

If you take films for example, it’s much easier to grade them now cause even if you take a movie from 40 years ago they use the same principles as today and there’s not MUCH difference in the basics - because films were already an established medium that went through experimentation already

Games are still young and going through technological changes

We still need to know if Ellie really got the cure or not, and if she really would sacrifice herself or not.

That whole "Ellie might have the cure" part of her story was mostly put on hold in part 2 tbh...wouldn't be surprised if its the focus of the 3rd game

Well the one person who could’ve potentially extracted a cure from her is dead. I suppose that could be the next story though that someone else comes along and now it all comes full circle for her if she’d be willing to sacrifice herself.

I could see one of themes of Part 3 being ‘purpose’ . Ellie no longer has any purpose, so a big part of her journey in the next game will be Ellie finding purpose again

Please don’t have us play as Ellie killing again after all that

Oh yes it's an opinion thing but calling it a best stealth game for the limited stealth options it has is like calling it best rpg because it has a skill tree, crafting .

The future of Last of Us again it will advance on stealth and boss battles focused on stealth as well that push it more with different solutions to win or defeat the boss. As well as so much more. That is dope . The conflict is when people think Last of Us 2 has to be classified as the best and first to do everything it does .

well yes but playing as Ellie venturing out to kill for another game rather than chill with Dina or if Dina dies or the baby just gets into redundant at a certain point. Just forcing the player to do conflicting violence to do it

I mean the fact the fireflies still exist hints at that . Why they were missing from the entire plot til the end who knows

I am still confused why it was put on hold for most of game 2

Well I don’t think anyone consider last of us the FIRST of anything

It’s just a great story told in a game format where they usually don’t do it

It’s in the vain of not playing a traditional game with hit combos on the screen, explosions and monster bosses - where that’s what stereotypically gaming is to people
