Abby lost everyone close to her as a result of her revenge on Joel. Even if Ellie didn't come kill them, many of the people closest to her were clearly shaken by her behavior and beginning to distance themselves from her - everyone but Owen and Manny, really.

Abby lost all of her friends, her community, and her physique. She lost it all but she gained Lev, and she would have had Lev anyway if she didn't kill Joel. Killing Joel didn't bring her peace either - that's the point. Only helping Lev brought her peace.

If we really want to point out a villain id say f*** tommy for encouraging ellie to seek revenge even further

This was a pretty good game, maybe 6.5/10 for me. The second half was way better than the first half, but the thing that bugged me about the game was that it felt like there was a checklist on being PC and inclusive. If it’s organic I’m all for it but it was pretty much;

Transgender ✅
Every ethnic minority represented ✅
50/50 male female crony split ✅
It also bugged me how little Joel was in it and that he wasn’t a playable character in story mode. Would’ve been nice to play him for at least a couple of chapters. Not a game I’d return to and pales in Compton to the original but not as bad as the general public are making out

Did you miss the part where all of Abby’s friends got murdered, including the man she was in love with, who left her because of her obsession with going after Joel? And that same man got a girl pregnant and because of Abby’s lust for revenge, an unborn child was then murdered?

So Ellie killed Abby through about 50% of production until they decided to change it because it's "not true to her character". What a s***show.

No? He would have went after her if he didn't take a f***ing arrow to the knee. And Ellie owed it to Joel to kill Abby.

the same thing happened to Abby. Both characters realize that all this killing isn’t going to bring their fathers back and in the process of all this, they lost all the good things they still had. Lev is Abby’s last chance. She sees him as someone to live for now. She doesn’t want to lose him, so she gives up. Ellie had Dina and an adopted child now and she risked losing them just to finish her revenge. Was it worth it? Ellie realizes as she is above Abby, this all wasn’t worth it. She is just causing more pain.
