Tv shows when it comes to stalling momentum with a flashback gimmick

"Stalling momentum" dude that was the ending of the episode

Talking about next episode
Im more interested in the scars & wlf and all that’s going on more than joel flashbacks.
The stalkers are scary as f*** in this show man way worse than the game
They absolutely killed that design and sound
I get what people mean about Ellie’s writing in this ep.
I’m not gonna be like she’s MEANT to be like _
Because it’s a different take by two of the same writers
But I much preferred her broken down, shut off, quiet etc at this part of the game. Her and Dina doing sitcom dialogue and her coming into the episode all quippy, chirpy and happy doesn’t really feel like a good change to me.
I mean, I’d be the same if I got to spend time with isabela merced too but idk she just lost Joel and is going on this soul poisoning, empty revenge mission. And yet she seems more chipper and bubbly now than she ever was in s1
I suspect this to change by the end of the episode tho
After they had their first run in with the brutality of the scars, fighting the wlf, and the subway incident she was still so cheery and optimistic and I was confused by that a bit, definitely prefer the games take so far but I haven’t watched the latest episode yet
this show has been moving way too fast smh
Yea, its crazy that there are only 2 episodes left this season
this show has been moving way too fast smh
I think they've been flying too fast through the storyline imo
Show could easily stretch to 4-5 seasons but they covered the whole first game in 9 episodes

Feel like it was intentional to really drive home the transformation at the end. But I agree the progression felt unnatural because so much happened in one ep. Needed a bit of room to breathe.
It’s also kinda dumb because it’s made to look like Dina had more hate in her heart for the WLF than Ellie did when she was talking about her first kill. But hey at least we got there by the end of the ep

Her expressions really aren’t that great. Getting nothing, feeling nothing. That scene and the one with Dina talking about her first kill are just flat. Compare that to Nora and Dina who are giving us way more in those respective scenes
They can cope about it but I’m not gonna lie and praise Bella just because she’s getting trolled.
