based on what will be in this season, todays ep is my fav part of the source material that S2 will have. i've loved everything we've gotten so far but this is my personal huge uphill battle for the show to execute it well for me personally. everyone has moments they'll critique a bit harsher than others, tonights is mine. lets see how they do

I get what people mean about Ellie’s writing in this ep.

I’m not gonna be like she’s MEANT to be like _
Because it’s a different take by two of the same writers

But I much preferred her broken down, shut off, quiet etc at this part of the game. Her and Dina doing sitcom dialogue and her coming into the episode all quippy, chirpy and happy doesn’t really feel like a good change to me.

I mean, I’d be the same if I got to spend time with isabela merced too but idk she just lost Joel and is going on this soul poisoning, empty revenge mission. And yet she seems more chipper and bubbly now than she ever was in s1

I suspect this to change by the end of the episode tho
