How did Ellie get excited, run off and drop the ladder
But Joel had to chase her up 3 flights of stairs and around a bunch of corners for her to see the giraffe
What did she see? Surely she couldn’t have seen all the way up and around corners and out a broken wall?
Literally unwatchable

LOL cause my brain was like why did they do that with that much space
I remember when people were complaining about Bella being casted as Ellie
Man, what a amazing actress she is

I assumed there was maybe a hole in the wall on the level she was at and she could tell what it was off that but idfk and that he didn't notice bc he was in panic mode trying to catch up to her

I physically cringed when Joel shot the doctor
TLOU2 spoiler:
Knowing the context it’s like …. Joel my boy u f\*\*\*ed urself right there. You just set it in motion. It’s over.
never played too would like an answer
Pretty close hard to answer besides saying its close unless you have a specific question. the ellie mom section was entirely new
I’m already getting in heated debates with friends who are experiencing this for the first time lol
A take I have that seems to be hot for people:
People give Joel too much leeway in conversations about what they would be willing to do for their own kids. Part of the difficult nuance at play here is Ellie is not Joel’s kid. People - especially parents - project themselves into Joel’s shoes and always place their a***yzing of it as themselves and their kid. But Ellie IS NOT Joel’s daughter. They havnt known eachother for a calendar year. Ellie has completely given Joel’s life light and purpose again. And I’m not trying to downplay his genuine love for her. But part of Joel’s trauma experience is this flawed mix up in his head of Ellie and Sarah.
And we get to see this DOES end up bothering Ellie later on.
I just kind of get tired of "Joel did the right thing because that's what I would do for my kid"… like okay? Sick, good for you. But that isnt his kid.
In the game did Joel tell Ellie that they’re dead and use the raider lie as an excuse ???
I remembered it as he doesn’t explain that any of them are dead, just that the tests didn’t work, and that he’s now stuck with the timebomb lie anxiety that she will somehow find out that they’re all dead
