A lot of what was cut serves more of a purpose to the story than what was added.
Episode 5 action was walking dead when could have split that up across multiple episodes of intimate more horror or tense moments they blew it all in like 5 minutes with cars,infected, boomer, sniping all going on at once. Resolved quickly and Kathleen.
if you split that scene up or do it differently no one is complaining. Infected were only a threat in first half of season . Specifically 1, 2, 5.
Out of 9 episodes where the point is " create a vaccine "I agree, I think what was added was more of a detriment to what was cut. E4/5 we’re the weakest imo, and would’ve benefited from more action like the game
But overall I’m ok with the direction they’re taking is what I was trying to say

I think if someone is half way through the game beating the game and playing it first is better than seeing it in this case. I am confused on why you put two question marks to something so straight forward.
Why would you want someone to ruin the ending of the show by playing the game
