My wild prediction is GAME SPOILERS they replace college with something else? College as a narrative point really is just "oh lol the doctors actually moved to a different place in salt lake city" then joel getting hurt. Can happen any other way, maybe they dont have that misdirection in the tv show thats literally just "your princess is in another castle". Have the Wyoming episode end with ellie and joel fighting and making up. joel deciding to take her the final way to the fireflies. Then get hurt somewhere else? Makes narrative sense and doesnt waste 30 minutes at the college

I played the game once. To me as I have said multiple times the game was always going to hit harder because I played it and it was profoundly new. Even in 2013 if this exact last of us show drops there was/ is a lot that I PERSONALLY connected to better a long the same lines. To each their own glad people loving it. Its good for the industry, empathy, video game adaptations.

The game was already a 30 hour interactive movie. Especially now with the remaster the s*** looks even more like a movie. The show was never gonna touch it for me.

I read in a review that SMALL SPOILER there’s a scene where Joel tells Ellie the rules of football. So makes sense they’d do that at the university but yeah I can see them skipping it too. I don’t think he’s falling and getting impaled in this. I bet he gets stabbed or shot.

To me personally to land the story you need one more point establishing fireflies more or establishing they may be flimsy or something. The game floats by without doing too much with fireflies or fedra to this degree. So whatever they do touch on the fireflies. S\*\*\* show people waiting for a vaccine and how much they believe. How much it means to them. In a game yes we didn't give a f\*\*\* was just complete the story and "they will get happy ending like RE4 we always get happy ending for delivering the girl". Here though would help to feel the decision to see how many would get a vaccine. Yes eventually we see Abby affected by her doctor dad dying, but also show how it affects the rest of humanity especially with the start of season cold opens

Breaking Bad was best week by week no spoilers or even hint of spoilers. Not always seeing what episodes critics liked til after you watch so marathoning today would be different to me. Still obviously a quality show but that week by week high was something different
