It’s almost like they havnt shown her reason yet which will obviously be shown in the next episode to make the viewer question exactly why she is in charge

Nah she's clearly an idiot and a lunatic

Why she's in charge is whats to be shown

The director trying to off screen kills and s*** is so corny stay true to the nature of the game

this is the last of us one of the most vioilent games of all time if not the most violent, maybe gow3

not like they gotta be OD about it either

This more of a season 2 and ending question . The violence in game if done to same level could definitely be considered shock value or exploitation in a tv show . To some it is in game . For some that is part of the point of the game though

And they should still show the s*** that was in the game, whats hard to get?

From the showrunners perspective, constant violence will numb the audience to it and make the big violent moments feel less impactful

I do hope that the second season is much more violent though, considering it's a big part of Part 2's theme

The ambush was a big violent moment though?

Tlou1 actually only has a few big violent moments and this was one of them. Already expecting them to half-ass/remove university and the winter part

The ambush was not some big violent moment at all. What was shown in the show was what was in the game

The ambush in the game is much better than how they portrayed it in this episode and the violence that did occur is really a drop in the bucket compared to later events

If Joel was as violent as in game I think they fear he would be less like able and it wouldn’t make sense how he is sane or doesn’t have ptsd
