she is more adversarial and violent in the show. Troy said she is purposefully more violent in the show. Likely to set up for future seasons but who knows

Well, she gets pretty violent in pt 2. She's a kid in the original

A kid raised in the post apocalyptic world would probably be more violent like the show version though tbh

I know so thats why I understand if that is someone's conflicts. Her looks less so. I would just say her face is only so expressive

Them getting potentially less development than Bill and Frank is kinda whack. Hope we get their backstory in flashback form

some of us wonder whether it will affect the impact of the story and ending but non game players will give us a better gauge of that.

Hope starting this episode they start to bond more like when it starts in the game. I don’t think it will affect it. can’t wait for the joke book episode and left behind

Ellie stealing a gun bothered me more than any other change so far but I am letting them cook

I wonder if it’s what she uses to kill the guy attacking Joel in the hotel room part of the game. Has to be.

lol if they don't bond this episode I will lose hope . If she isn't less edgy, aggressive this episode then its just a different story at this point for me.

I am going to let them cook even if I worry they are making her violent slightly too soon. It does help them set up for winter part and david so :donshrug:

Ellie does seem more aggressive but also the story remains the same. She still hasn’t killed anyone. She still isn’t trusted by Joel to carry a weapon. So instead of Game Spoilers ellie saving Joel by stabbing the guy with a knife and that guy chucking her to the ground, she will prob just shoot that guy

different yes I am all for key differences. Ellie being violent, adversarial or this aggressive most of the show is more than difference to me. It will affect the ending to me but again I am someone who played the game so I am more curious about non game players. If you are crafting a story with future seasons and left behind in mind then yes she is more violent adversarial. To build a bond in tv or movie got to have them care about each other for what remains that is all I am saying

I know they only wanna adapt the games, but damn a show about different people in like a different state or country would be so cool too.

They do have a 1000+ mile road trip this episode so I’m assuming at least some bonding lol

Sam and Henry may get a lil something but coming off of an hour flashback episode of critics saying "this the best thing since sliced bread". I just hope Sam , Henry , fireflies, Marlene all get a little more than the game. critics have said most of rest is like the game
