Neil a masochist and wants the viewer to hate Abby even more just to challenge himself to make the viewers empathize with her
brace yourself for a new generation of haters on Pt2 lmao
i understand that take, but do you think they want the viewer to feel like Joel did the right thing in salt lake when it comes down to it?
I mean there is even some who think it seemed in game 1 that it was high success rate if they succeed or he isn't so much doing it because he has doubt. Like Joel would do it even if there was 100% success rate and Fireflies were going to give it to everyone . Either way he was about it. When in reality can the fireflies be trusted to give the cure to everyone? Does the doctor know what he is doing? Has he failed before ? Once all those things come into it we will see
Not true
also the horizon show will make you regret the Sony tv show thing
Damn you not a horizon show fan
GOT EM

fair points - my personal feeling playing the game was i wasnt at all supposed to think Joel did the right thing, but there are definitely people out there who justify it. But yeah, i never got a sense that like Neil was writing it in a way that i was supposed to agree with joels decision. I like Neil and Craig specifying in the first podcast episode that this story is about the horrible things love can make you do
on the topic of video game adaptations as a general topic of convo... i love seeing people say Zelda needs an adaptation cause i think its a hilarious take that is basically "tell me you only play Nintendo games without telling me you only play Nintendo games"
Just read production built bills entire village from scratch. All those exterior’s of those houses were built just for the show and the insides were sets
HBO budget is crazy
Good news for fans of the game who wanted a certain scene I guess lmfaoooo
Game spoilers / show spoilers for next episode

We've had good ones last couple of years.
Cyberpunk Edgerunners, Arcane, Castlevania, Sonic movies. Even the Nier Automata anime is airing rn and it's pretty good
It's definitely a reason most of those are animated though
Yeah I was speaking on live action adaptations. The Sonic movies are definitely cool tho

I’ll go one step further and say the sonic movies are not good but I know a bunch of fan boys will get mad at me
When we say first live action game adaptation that is great of course Last of Us, Ghost of Tsuhima, Horizon, God of War and s*** cool but we want like the risky game ideas that aren't already so movie inspired. Where it truly feels like "damn son how did they do that"

I mean u got any reason for why u don't like them? I think they serve their purpose well

I don’t like them personally cause it felt like a chore to watch in the theater lmfao. None of the jokes personally hit for me and found it just plain boring (checking the time throughout) in the theater.
Just wasn’t my type of movie
I mean u got any reason for why u don't like them? I think they serve their purpose well
No Chili Cheese Dogs
No Environmental destruction plot
No Grindrails
No racing
No sensation of speed
Too many humans
Robotnik isn't capturing animals
I hope the horizon show flops so hard gorilla games stops working on the franchise

Who is this we you speak of f
Its time we discuss if its a better TV Show than game. I for one think it is a better TV show and they should stop making games like this and invest in making tv shows like this
It’s a better game but the show is fine so far
