Could be me but so far no part of me would be surprised at Joel lying to Ellie . Game was probably same way but in show so far they have both lied to each other a lot and conflict . So no part of Joel killing for her or lying to her feels earned yet but we still early

As a casual TLOU fan I don’t mind the change since I barely remember Bill but storyline felt like something Walking Dead has done multiple times already

as long as they don’t do some corny flashback to Sarah death again :koolaid: . We are getting too many hours into the show for them to not have a basic connection that we did to a s\*\*\*ty ai companion in a 2013 game . If they don’t progress enough next episode I’m going to hope the ending is changed
