What was this episode missing for you?

also the open window at the end reminded me of the games start screen

This Ep really made me realize how fleeting our time was with the side characters in the game, the were very memorable while only being a blip in Joel and Ellie's story

the people complaining about bill and frank "eating up an episode" are just mad the show isn't how they want or "exactly like the game". theres not a lot of criticism im seeing outside of those two angles

this is great storytelling, leave your expectations at the door

If this episode was about a Maga Man catching a woman in a hole and they both fall in love with each other, episode wouldn't get the same praise

but he really gets shot then recovers perfectly . like I get it was a fake out but :deadfast: . Felt like the raiders would come up again be it one surviving or someone else attacking . Joel saying exactly what would happen there was weird to me but I give it to them

Amazing episode anyways I almost cried not going to lie

This ended up being a good episode by the end of it.

Yeah I thought he was gonna die there and it time jumps to Frank meeting Joel and Ellie

It's to be expected for fans to complain about a show deviating from the game

I don't the rest of the show will have as drastic a change though

I'm half joking, but either ways this episode did a great job fleshing out those two. I do like a pact suicide over Frank killing himself

was a good fake out moment in a way but I think the bullet wound, raiders story kind of just vanishing was weird. it works though this isn't me saying it was bad.

They could of done all of this and still included bill after all of this just like the game

Also the game hinted at a more interesting storyline
with Bill and Franks relationship. I wanted to see how Bill messed it up in the end but they threw all of that out for this by the number love story

lol him saying "this is objectively romantic" was a bit much but yeah

lol by the end of the season they really gonna s*** on the game entirely like it was never good at all

Nah I like that cuz it was him trying to relate to Bill in that practical manner
