KIDBlNOViewership will go down significantly after joel’s death but that doesn’t change the fact that TLOU2 will be infinitely more enjoyable in TV format and better adapted then S1
I don't think it will have any significant drops tbh.

Wouldn’t be surprised if they do a connecting season. Maybe covering the flashback sequences from Part 2\. Abby’s background, finding her dad’s body, the rift between Joel & Ellie, etc. I think it’s too soon to do all of Part 2 since Part 3 is still years away.
